Cora's Legacy Homestead wants every visitor to be able to read about the homestead, see the suites, and reach us without struggle, whatever their eyesight, hearing, dexterity, or the technology they use. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA and we keep working toward it.
What we've done
- Large, readable text — body text is 18 pixels and scales with your browser's zoom or text-size settings.
- Strong color contrast between text and backgrounds, and information that is never conveyed by color alone.
- Big touch targets — buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall so they are easy to tap on a phone or tablet.
- Keyboard access — every link, button, form field, and image viewer can be reached with the Tab key, with a clearly visible focus outline, and a "Skip to main content" link at the top of each page.
- Screen-reader support — meaningful headings, labels on every form field, text alternatives for images, and status messages that are announced when you send us the contact form.
- Reduced motion — if your device is set to reduce motion, the page animations are turned off.
- Autofill-friendly forms so your browser can fill in your name, email, and phone number for you.
