Cora's Legacy Homestead LLC ("we") runs corashomestead.com. We are a small assisted living home in College Station, Texas, and we treat the information families share with us the way we would want our own family's information treated. This page explains what the website collects, why, and the choices you have.
What you give us
When you fill out the contact form, we receive what you type: your name, email address, phone number if you include it, what you are interested in, which suite and timeframe you selected, your message, and whether you asked for our newsletter. We use it to answer you, to keep your place on our waitlist, and — only if you checked the box — to send occasional community updates. Every newsletter includes a way to stop receiving it.
What the website measures
We keep simple, first-party statistics so we know which pages are useful and which of our outreach efforts (a newspaper ad, a flyer, a search listing) actually help families find us. For each visit we record:
- the page viewed, and whether a phone number or email link was tapped;
- the website that referred you, if any, and any campaign codes in the link you used (for example a code printed on a mailer);
- a device type (phone, tablet, or computer) and the approximate city and region provided by our hosting provider;
- an anonymous visitor code that changes every day, so we can estimate how many different people visited that day. It is made from a one-way hash and cannot be turned back into who you are.
We do not use cookies for tracking, do not store your IP address, do not use advertising trackers or social-media pixels, and do not sell or rent any information. If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal, we still count the page view but skip the anonymous visitor code entirely.
If you arrive through one of our campaign links, the browser remembers that campaign code for the length of your visit (in the browser tab's session storage, not a cookie) so that a message you send us a few pages later can be credited to the right effort.
Who else is involved
- Cloudflare hosts the website and the database that stores form submissions and statistics, and protects the site from abuse.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces, and the contact page embeds a Google Maps view of our location; loading them sends your browser's request to Google under Google's own privacy policy.
- cdnjs (Cloudflare) serves the open-source styling libraries the pages use.
Form submissions are seen only by our team members who work with families and are kept while they are useful to us — at minimum until the home opens and your inquiry is resolved. Website statistics are kept in detail for about thirteen months.
Your choices
Email [email protected] or call (979) 221-2361 to ask what we have on file for you, to correct it, to leave the waitlist or newsletter, or to have your submissions deleted. We will act on your request promptly.
Children
The website is for adults researching care for themselves or a family member. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change what the website collects, we will update this page and the date at the top.
